Vandaag twee renners die van het toneel zijn verdwenen. Renard zal niet gemist worden, want hij had nog 0 punten behaald en was ook door niemand geselecteerd. Bauhaus zal wel worden gemist door Lo Scorpione (Daan Mo) en Pinarello (Danny Cr), want die verliezen door zijn uitval vandaag 89 punten!
Morgen een vlakke etappe en daardoor weer kansen voor de sprinters. Het ligt voor de hand dat Philipsen zich weer van voor laat zien, maar ook Van Aert en Groenewegen zullen loeren op een etappewinst.
Tourspel
Vandaag was de beslissing rondom de Alpenprijs. Even leek het erop dat Tour de snarf protégé (Niels, introducé van Frans Sm) er in zijn debuutjaar direct met een prijs vandoor zou gaan, maar hij werd met een miniem verschil van 3 punten nog net voorbij gesneld door de eindwinnaar(s) van 2021, Il Imbatido (Michel & Gemma).
In het weekklassement voor week 3 weet Bert van der Sl zijn koppositie nog vast te houden, maar de verschillen zijn zo klein, dat dit echt nog alle kanten op kan gaan. Kijken of de sprintetappe van morgen het klassement een beetje kan laten kantelen.
En jawel, zo zien we dat eindelijk weer eens in het ploegenklassement, want daar hebben we een nieuw team aan de leiding. Movistar bestaande uit Tour de snarf protégé, Il imbatido, O & E Morechurch, Hakkie & Takkie, AnnelieZ, Thikki, Tinka H., Lodie Gl, White Horse en Thea Stam-Hendriks stoempen er lustig op los en pakken met een verschil van 0,4 punten de leiding over.
In het Unitklassement gaat Unit Interventies nog steeds aan leiding. Dan nog een prijs die we nog niet veel hebben aangehaald…. De rode lantaarn. Het leek een strijd te worden tussen Courbe en De Lange, maar die prijs is bijna niet meer af te pakken van De Lange (Jasper Da).
Dan nog een blik op het individuele klassement. Lientje gaat nog wel aan de leiding, maar de ervaren oud-winnaar van 2012, Dark Horse (René Kl) voert de druk op. De grootste stijger vandaag is Hakkie & Takkie (Jack van Wi, introducé van Niek Ho). Pinarello was vandaag de grootste daler met 35 plekken, maar dat werd dus mede veroorzaakt door het vertrek van Bauhaus. Dat verlies zie je namelijk ook terug bij Lo Scorpione (Daan Mo), die 30 plekken verliest op de ranglijst.

Met dank aan een scherpe deelnemer is gebleken dat er gisteren een fout is gemaakt bij het toekennen van de punten. Pogačar had per ongeluk geen punten gekregen. Dit betrof 60 punten (en met hem als kopman zelfs 120 punten). De fout is vandaag hersteld, vóór de uitslag van etappe 17.
